POS stands for Parent Over Shoulder, and it's an abbreviation that is commonly used in text messages and other digital communications. It's a warning used to let the other conversation partner know that a parent is nearby and able to possibly view what is being said. For example, if a teen is texting a friend about a party and notices their parent looking over their shoulder, they may add 'POS' to quickly inform their friend, without alerting their parent.
