The abbreviation LGBTQ refers to a community of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer. Lesbian refers to women who are attracted to other women while gay refers to men who are attracted to other men. Bisexual individuals are attracted to both men and women, transgender individuals do not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth, and queer individuals do not conform to traditional gender or sexual norms.
